当你们上周日吃晚餐的时候，我走到我的办公室，禁不住痛哭起来。我们又一次失败了！没有复兴，仅有混乱。有些人悖逆了。有些人在礼拜开始前跑来跑去搬椅子，紧张地做一些奇怪的事情。教会当时的情形让人感到无力和混乱，处于撒但和牠的鬼魔的控制之下。我坐在我的办公室里哭泣。我想就此放弃。我们如此努力地去尝试，结果还是彻底地失败了。我问教会的几位领导，下一步应当怎么做？他们告诉我，改变题目，打消宣讲复兴的念头。在我看来，神似乎在说："我要回到原处，等他们自觉有罪，寻求我面"（何5:15）。当然，我知道这些话是说给先知的，关于以色列；但话中的真理仍然可以运用我们如今的时代。所以，我通宵研读，写了这这则道。

I. 第一，我们的过犯是什么？

正当我思考上周发生的事情的时候，我逐渐地察觉到出错的地方。事情是从星期天早上开始的。约翰·凯根（John Cagan）宣讲了一则题目为《魔鬼和复兴》的有力布道。约翰说："真正的基督教处于战争之中"。

"因我们并不是与属血气的争战，乃是与那些执政的、掌权的、以及这世界天空中的恶魔争战"（以弗所书6:12《新美国标准版圣经》）。

在美国，魔鬼正在施行牠最阴险的诡计…魔鬼欺骗人，使他们相信，他们的所在之地是乾净与安全的，于是他们没有为灵界的争战做好准备。但神告诉我们，魔鬼是真实的。神告诉我们，魔鬼正在与我们作战。神告诉我们，我们必须准备好作战。
      我们的教会位于洛杉矶，我们在魔鬼势力的正中心。我们被成群的鬼魔包围。这个城市的鬼魔并非通过显而易见的力量来奴役人，而是通过 不信 来蒙蔽人。因此，在我们洛杉矶的这间教会里，我们切不可觉得我们处在一个正常和乾净的地方。我们处在战场的前线，与敌人争斗…魔鬼不想让我们的教会经历复兴。魔鬼会不择手段、尽其所能地阻止我们的教会经历复兴。魔鬼想要我们相信，我们不可能得到复兴。但是我们不属于魔鬼。我们并不受魔军的奴役。通过耶稣的宝血，我们在神的军队里…我们被召，在灵界的战争中抵挡魔鬼…所以，让我们相信，让我们祷告、忏悔、原谅，恳求神的灵来到我们的教会。‘你不再将我们救活，使你的百姓靠你欢喜么？’（诗篇85:6）。

约翰出色并且有力地宣讲那则道後，会众热烈地鼓掌！是的，那是一个很好的信息，我也鼓掌了！但在礼拜天晚上的时候，我们忘记了约翰讲的道，而那成了我们的过犯！我们忘记了我们的教会位于魔鬼势力的正中心。我们忘记了我们处于成群鬼魔的包围下。我们忘记了魔鬼最阴险的计谋，是蒙蔽我们，使我们不相信牠的存在。我们忘记了魔鬼会用尽心机、尽其所能地阻止我们的教会经历复兴。所以，我们没做好准备，匆忙地进入战场。甚至那些祷告的人，站起来，在为做好准备的状态下匆忙地进入战场！他们没有做好准备，就像在客西马尼园里的门徒那样。他们祷告後站起来，离弃了基督，逃离来逮捕救主的士兵！那便是我们的过犯！我们忘记了，撒但在场，要阻止我们的礼拜。我们四处挥舞，就像彼得挥动他的剑一样，在黑暗里挥舞，完全没有做好准备，极为狼狈、迷惑、失败。魔鬼胜了，我们败了。我跑到我的办公室里痛哭。我想："我们不可能得到复兴！" 我觉得就像一个被打败的老人，准备在黑暗中潜行。我觉得被神抛弃了

"我要回到原处，等他们自觉有罪，寻求我面；他们在急难的时候必切切寻求我"（何夏书5:15）。

II. 第二，我们此刻要做什么？

我承认，当我在星期天晚上回到家的时候，我打算就此放弃。我觉得自己很累、很老、很绝望，精疲力尽，想退休离去。但是，我想起尼克松总统说过的一句话："一个人被打败的时候，并不算结束。一个人是在半途而废的时候，才算结束。" 我不是一个半途而废的人！

约翰·凯根在介绍我的时候如此说："他的身份和这间教会生命有密切的联系。在基督的事工上，他持有一心一意的奉献心。这间教会就像一个超级运动员、政治巨人、征服者。" 他知道，教会是基督的新娘，所以，他为这间教会能有一个美好的前景而祷告、争斗、宣道。海博士的信念，是为充满生命的基督教而争斗。海博士为了我们的教会、以及我们的神争斗。

这里有杰出和正直的年轻人在看着我。这里有优秀和坚强的年轻女士看着我。我必须不让你们失望。我不会让你们失望！更重要的是，神正看着我！我也不会让祂失望！这是我在上星期天凌晨三点回到家以後写成的道文。我当时说过，我现在还是这么讲，我不会放弃为我们教会获得复兴的争斗！我会站在这讲坛後面宣讲复兴，直到天上的星星掉下来。我会站在这座讲坛後面宣讲复兴，直到太阳烧灭、天空被烧黑、大地在神的审判中被烧尽为止！而我的复兴讲道则会在因特网上流传数百年 —— 永无止境！

我现在要号召你们每一个人再跟随我一次。你们跟随我越过教会分裂的旷野。你们跟随我为这栋教会楼房付清两百万美金的房贷。你们中有些人就算孩子回到世俗中去後还继续跟随我。你们中有些人，好像Nieves 萨拉萨、Juana Arteaga、和Rose Chenault-Quinn跟随我直到去世。感谢神，我们能有这样的人！此刻，我号召你们再跟随我多作一场斗争。跟随我为复兴而争斗，现在就来！

我们上星期天被魔鬼打败。但是一场败仗不能决定战争的结果。我们将继续战斗，直到的神吉时到来，祂裂天而降，以一阵大能降临来到我们教会。我们应当继续祷告，直到神回答我们。我们应当保卫我们的教会，不论代价多高。我们将在海滩上祷告，我们将在陆地上祷告，我们将在田野和大街上祷告，我们将在群山之中祷告，我们将永不向魔鬼、及其势力投降。我将不断地祷告，直到神回答我们，把神圣的火送入我们的心中和生活里！ —— 并以大能和爱使我们教会得到复兴！

"你们中间作父亲的，谁有儿子求饼，反给他石头呢？求鱼，反拿蛇当鱼给他呢？ 求鸡蛋，反给他蠍子呢？ 你们虽然不好，尚且知道拿好东西给儿女；何况天父，岂不更将圣灵给求他的人么？" （路加福音11:11-13）。

预备心灵到主前，
   主乐应允你祈求；
 祂召你来诉心愿，
    必不拒绝你呼求，
 必不拒绝你呼求。

 你今来到君王前，
   祈求大事莫羞颜！
 恩典、权能，祂兼备，

而我完全同意约翰·凯根所讲的："神希望救活我们，使我们能够靠神欢喜。神不希望我们成为一个多努力、少成功的教会。神不希望我们灰心。神希望我们的教堂成为这世界的灯塔。神希望我们成为这世界的灵魂避风港。神希望我们的教会成为祂的殿堂，成为一个神可以到来、与祂子民同在的地方。但是，如果神的子民中间充满了虚伪和抵抗，神是不会与他们同在的。神不会与彼此不想爱的人同在。神不会与一群充满了嫉妒和苦恼之疾病的人同在。神不会降临到一个充满了苦毒和纷争的地方。神不会与自私的人同在。神不喜悦与只顾自己的人同在。神希望与一群会互相忏悔认罪并为对方祷告求医治的人同在。这就是神召唤我们 ‘要彼此认罪、互相代求，使你们可以的医治’（雅各书5:16）。神能够为我们遣送复兴。你要彼此认罪好让我们能够靠神欢喜。你要彼此认罪，这样神便会医治你、赐给你喜乐！" 我引用约翰的话，是因为我不能讲得比他更好！约翰是对的，我完全同意他所讲得！让我们为复兴祷告，直到神来到我们身边！

"愿你裂天而降；愿山在你面前震动 —— 好像火烧乾柴，又像火将水烧开，使你敌人知道你的名，使列国在你面前发颤！ 你曾行我们不能逆料可畏的事。那时你降临，山岭在你面前震动"（以赛亚书64:1-3）。

但是，除了祷告以外，我们还有其他事情要做。耶稣反复地说："总要惊醒祷告。" 上星期天晚上，我们祷告了，但是许多人都没有" 警醒"。那些在到处摆放椅子的男生们没有警醒。那些安排错误座位的男士们没有警醒。还有那些做了一件又一件愚拙事情的人们没有警醒。耶稣说："总要警醒祷告，免得入了迷惑"（可14：38）。我们上星期天晚上被打败是因为我们没有提防鬼魔的攻击！我请求你们，务必注意你们在这星期天晚上所做的事。如果我们只为复兴祷告，但是却不注意我们在礼拜中所作的事，是不会有好成果的。安静地进来，坐下来祷告。不要像无头苍蝇那样到处乱跑！要警醒祷告。

"他们在急难的时候必切切寻求我"（何5:15）。我们已经在急难中了。但是不要放弃。星期天晚上在祷告中和警醒中来到教会。思考你要向神忏悔的事，并思考你要向谁忏悔并为他们祷告！这样魔鬼就不能得胜了。这样神就会得荣耀，遣送那我们迫切需要的复兴。神会遣送复兴。你要彼此认罪，好让我们能够靠神欢喜。你们要祈求神，打开你们的心房，使你们能够彼此认罪，这样我们才能够靠神欢喜。你们要彼此认罪，这样神才能赐给你喜乐！

今天晚上我将不会要你们来互相忏悔认罪。但我将会在星期天晚上让你们来。今天晚上我想要你们两人或三人一起向神祈求，向你和他人显明星期天晚上要忏悔什么。当我们的姐妹弹《教我祷告》的时候，我希望你们一同祷告，祈求神融化我们的心，在星期天晚上彼此认罪。

神が降りて来られると、“山々は御前で揺れ動くでしょう。”　不信の山々は神の御前で揺れ動くでしょう。　疑いの山々は神の御前で揺れ動くでしょう。　絶望の山々は神の御前で揺れ動くでしょう。　自己中心的の山々は神の御前で揺れ動くでしょう。　悪魔の抑圧の山々は神の御前で揺れ動くでしょう。　神がリバイバルを通して降りて来られると、キリストに反抗して立つ全ての山々は、神の御前で揺れ動くでしょう。　“山々は（火山から流れ出る溶岩のように）御前で揺れ動くでしょう。”

リバイバルの真の祈りは、神を掴み、手放さない事です―ヤコブが一晩中キリストと祈りを通して格闘した時のように―そして彼は、“私はあなたを去らせません。　私を祝福してくださらなければ。”（創世記32:26）と言いました。　ロイド‐ジョーンズ博士は、リバイバルの祈りは「神を掴む事、神に訴える事、神に説得を試み、更に嘆願する事、そして、それはクリスチャンが、［リバイバルへの祈りを］真に祈り始める状態になった時にのみ！」と言いました(Lloyd-Jones, Revival, p. 305)。

若い方々、私も若かったのです。　でももう年老いています。　そして私達の教会のリーダーの方達も同様です。　私達は、教会分裂という長くつらい年月を通してこの教会を導きました。　私達は、自分達の時間と自分達のお金、自分達の青春時代を犠牲にしました。　しかし、それは素晴らしい事でした。　私達は犠牲を払いました。　私達は、この教会のインターネットを通して世界中に向けて、奉仕の為にお金を注ぎ込みました。　しかし、私達にはみずみずしい若さはもうありません。　私達には、もはやこの教会を次のレベルへともたらす力やスタミナはありません。　私達にはもはや、この教会を次のレベルへと上昇させる活力とバイタリティー、もしくは意欲はありません。　私達は、この教会を救う為に自分達の若さを費やしました。　しかし、もはや私達は「新たな」生まれ変わったバプテスト・タバナクルを創り出す力はありません。　あなた方、若者達がそれを為さなければならないのです。　さもなければ、それは果たされないでしょう。　それを果たしなさい!　それを果たしなさい!　それを果たしなさい!

しかし六十年に渡る体験によって、私は、あなた方の若さだけではこれを果たす事は出来ない事を知っています。　私達は新たな神の御霊のほとばしりがなくてはなりません、そうでなければ、それを果たす事は出来ません。

ティモシー・リン博士（Dr. Timothy Lin）は、チャイニーズ・バプテスト教会で二十四年間牧師を務めました。　リン先生は偉大な祈りの人でした。　リン先生は、「祈りの目標は、神の御臨在を得る事である。　終わりの時代の教会は、教会が成長する事を望むなら、神の御臨在がなくてはならない。　神の御臨在なくしては、全ての努力は無益である」と言われました。　そして不成功に終わるのです。　サタンは、私達が神の御臨在なくしては、成長する事が出来ない事を知っています。　リン先生は、キリストの再臨が近づくに連れて、「大いなるサタンの圧力が祈りに対抗する」と言われました。　（これらの引用はリン先生の書物The Secret of Church Growthからの引用）。　使徒パウロは、“私たちの格闘は血肉に対するものではなく、・・・悪霊に対するものです。”（エペソ6:12）と言いました。　どうしたら、私達は悪魔の力に対して格闘する事が出来るでしょうか？　パウロはそれに対して答えました。　“すべての祈りと願いを用いて、どんなときにも御霊によって祈りなさい。”（エペソ6:18）。　他の人が祈っている時、それぞれのリクエストにあなた方の思いに聞き入るように強いなさい。　各祈りのリクエストの終わりに、「アーメン」と言いなさい。　それが先導する人の祈りをあなたの祈りとさせます。　起立して、第二番をもう一度歌いなさい！

そして私達の主要な祈りは、神が私達の働きに下って来られなければなりません―神の御臨在が素晴らしいリバイバルへと降りて来られるように！

神が私達の間に降りて来られる時、“山々は御前で揺れ動くでしょう。”　不信の山々は神の御前で揺れ動くでしょう！　疑いの山々は神の御前で揺れ動くでしょう！　妬みの山々は神の御前で揺れ動くでしょう！　私達を互いに引き裂く山々は神の御前で揺れ動くでしょう！　私達の神とキリストに対して立ち向かう山々は、火山から流れ出る溶岩のように揺れ動き、炎のように私達に揺れ動き、リバイバルで揺れ動くのです！　私は、強力なリバイバルを通して、神の御臨在が私達に降りて来る事を、毎日懸命に祈るよう、あなた方に託します。　リバイバルの祈りは、神をつかむ、そして“私はあなたを去らせません。　私を祝福してくださらなければ。”と、ヤコブのように祈る事です。　ロイド‐ジョーンズ博士が言ったように、「神を掴む事、神に訴える事、神に説得を試み、更に嘆願する事、そして、それはクリスチャンが、［リバイバルへの祈りを］真に祈り始める状態になった時にのみ！」と言いましたRevival, p. 305。

ある人達は、リバイバルの為に祈る事を望んでいないかもしれません！　あなた方は、去年の「微々たるリバイバル」はさほど益にならなかったと考えているかもしれません！　しかし、あなた方は間違っています!　去年私達は、「微々たるリバイバル」を体験しました。　しかし結果として何が起こったかを考えて下さい―ジョン・ケイガンが抵抗するのを止めて、福音を説教する事に身を委ねました!　私達には新しい牧師がいます―そして、彼はその「微々たるリバイバル」から出たのです!　私達には、アーロン・ヤンシ―、ノア・ソング、そしてジャック・ナンが、去年の「微々たるリバイバル」から現れました。　この秋には、今までの三倍以上の人達がバプテスマを受けます。　どこからそんなに多くの新たな回心者達が出て来たのでしょうか？　彼らは、神が昨年の夏に送られた、その小規模な「微々たる」リバイバルを通して出て来たのです。　そこから彼らが出て来たのです!　二番を再び歌って下さい!　では起立して歌って下さい!

私達が去年のリバイバルの集会を閉会した時、私はあなた方に、ほんの「微々たる」リバイバルが起こったと言いました。　しかし、今年は私達の教会に神の御臨在の偉大なほとばしりがあるかもしれません。　私はそれが起こりうる事を、六十年の体験で知っています。　集中豪雨的なリバイバルの前に、「微々たる」リバイバルがあなた方に起こるのです!　事実、それがチャイニーズ・バプテスト教会で起こった事です。　そのように起こりました。　最初は―微々たるものでした!　次に―集中豪雨的なものでした！　私の生涯で、三つの素晴らしいリバイバルを目にしました!　神が再び私達の教会でそれを為す事が御出来になる事を知っています!　そして私は、若者達をリーダーシップの地位に置くだけでは、私達の教会を強化することは出来ない事を知っています。　また、私達が神の聖なる御臨在の強力な力が、私達の間に下る事を祈り通さなければ、私達は「新たな」生まれ変わったバプテスト・タバナクルを目にする事はないでしょう。

一人の罪深い女性が、パリサイ人シモンの家にいたイエスにやって来ました。　聖書はこう語っています、

“すると、その町にひとりの罪深い女がいて、イエスがパリサイ人の家で食卓に着いておられることを知り、香油の入った石膏のつぼを持って来て、泣きながら、イエスのうしろで御足のそばに立ち、涙で御足をぬらし始め、髪の毛でぬぐい、御足に口づけして、香油を塗った。”（ルカ7:37-38）

この女性は、町では知られた罪人でした。　人々は、彼女は非常に罪深い人であることを知っていました。　彼女には悪い評判がありました。　イエスが食事をされていた時、彼女は彼の後ろで這い上がり、彼の足をぬらし、口づけしました。　彼女はイエスのところに来ました。

あなた方が為さなければならない事は、彼女が為した事と同じです。　彼女はただイエスに来る事によって、救われたのです。

“Rufe mich an, so will ich dir antworten und will dir anzeigen große und gewaltige Dinge, die du nicht weißt” (Jeremia 33,3).
 
 

Jeremia war im Gefängnis. Er wurde inhaftiert, weil er predigte, das Volk Judas werde in die Gefangenschaft gehen. Jeremia fühlte sich hoffnungslos. Er dachte, sein Volk sei von Gott verlassen. Er hatte alle Hoffnung verloren, und er war im Gefängnis eingesperrt. Nun sprach der Herr zu seinem Herzen. Gott sagte ihm,

“Rufe mich an, so will ich dir antworten und will dir anzeigen große und gewaltige Dinge, die du nicht weißt.” (Jeremia 33,3).

Am vergangenen Sonntag Abend hielt ich eine Predigt, ““Der Kampf des Gebets bei der Erweckung!” Ich sagte, wir leben unter einem großen Dämonen des Materialismus. Ich sagte, “Gott ist hin! Er hat unsere Kirchen verlassen. Er hat unsere Kirche ... verlassen....” “ Unsere träge Schläfrigkeit und Faulheit hätten lieber eine Kirche ohne den heiligen Geist. Macht nur das übliche. Warum die Dinge aufrühren? Warum uns stören? Laßt uns weiter in unserer Schläfrigkeit schlummern. Wir wollen nicht zur schweren Arbeit des Gebets und Fastens um der Anwesenheit und Kraft Gottes willen.” Bei uns wurden siebzehn Leute in einigen Wochen selig. Dr. Chan wurde wieder belebt. John Samuel Cagan gab sich auf, das Evangelium zu predigen. Aaron Yancy und Jack Ngann wurden Kandidaten auf die Diakonat. Christine Nguyen und Frau Lee wurden Gebetskriegerinnen.

Wir hatten “eine Spur” der Erweckung. In jenen Tagen lernten Dr. Cagan und ich, daß wenn Gott anwesend war, so wurden die Leute bekehrt, aber wenn Gott abwesend war, da geschah nichts. Aaron und Jack Ngann haben was anderes gelernt. Sie lernten, wie man im Gebet gegen die dämonischen Kräfte ringt. Jack sagte,

‘Wir fingen an, um die Anwesenheit Gottes zu beten. Als ich mein zweites Gebet anfing, wurde es mir schwindlich, und ich war fast dabei, in Ohnmacht zu fallen. Es wurde mir schwer, Gebete zu verfassen, und ich sagte Aaron, ich konnte nicht weitermachen. Aaron fing also dann an zu beten, und er erlebte auch Schwierigkeit, seine Gebete zu organisieren. Wir spürten, es gab ein großes dämonisches Hindernis, und wir fingen an, auf unseren Knien zu beten, daß die dämonische Anwesenheit entfernt werde, und plädierten das Blut Christi. Anschließend warf ich mich nieder auf mein Gesicht, auf den Fußboden. Wir fingen ein drittes Mal an, so zu beten, und wir begannen zu merken, daß Gott durch die Trübseligkeit gebrochen hat, und die dämonische Anwesenheit entfernt worden war. Wir wußten also, die Versammlung würde kritisch sein. Das geschah um ungefähr 4 Uhr im Nachmittag.’

Zwei Stunden später, beim Abendgottesdienst, kam Herr Virgel Nickell in Tränen voran, und Dr. Cagan führte ihn zu Christo. Dann wußten wir, warum Aaron und Jack zwei Stunden zuvor so einen Kampf im Gebet gegen Satan erlebt hatten!

“Denn wir haben nicht mit Fleisch und Blut zu kämpfen, sondern mit Fürsten und Gewaltigen, nämlich mit den Herren der Welt, die in der Finsternis dieser Welt herrschen, mit den bösen Geistern unter dem Himmel” (Ephesians 6,11. 12).

Die geistlichen Kämpfe werden durch Gebet gewonnen!

“Kraft im Gebet”, steht auf und singt es!

Kraft im Gebet, Herr, Kraft im Gebet,
    Hier unter der Sünde und Schmerzen und Sorge dieser Welt;
 Wir brauchen die Erweckung, verzweifelnde Seelen;
    O gib mir Kraft, Kraft im Gebet!

Nehmt wieder Platz.

Satan hat viele von euch verhindert, daß ihr nicht um die Erweckung betet. Ich hielt eine Abstimmung am vergangenen Donnerstag Abend. Ich sagte, “Wieviel von euch meint, ich will mehr Leute in der Kirche haben, wenn ich euch bitte, um die Erweckung zu beten?” Etwa die Hälfte unserer Leute haben ihre Hand gehoben. Dann sagte ich, “Wieviel von euch meint, ich will, daß ihr mehr arbeitet, wenn ich euch bitte, um die Erweckung zu beten?” Etwa ein Drittel von euch habt euere Hand gehoben. Das war mir ein Schock. Viel, vielmals habe ich euch gesagte, “Es geht nicht um mehr Leute!” Viel, vielmals habe ich euch gesagt, “Es geht nicht um mehr Arbeit!” Viel, vielmals habe ich euch gesagt, “Wenn die Erweckung kommt, da wird es weniger Arbeit geben!”

Jetzt müßt ihr hunderte auf hunderte Namen bringen, damit wir einen einzigen Besucher haben. Und jener Besucher kommt nicht zurück! Bei der Erweckung könnt ihr viel weniger Namen bringen, und viel weniger Besucher haben, doch die Mehrzahl der Besucher werden zurückkommen. Es wäre sogar möglich, den Evangelismus total zu kündigen, und doch viel mehr Leute haben, die hereinkommen und selig werden! Bei der chinesischen Kirche hatten sie keinen Evangelismus. Sie haben kein Transport eingestellt. Es sind aber doch 2.000 Leute gekommen, und sie sind geblieben. Warum? Weil sie die Erweckung hatten! Darum! Ich habe das schon zuvor gesagt, aber ihr habt mir nicht geglaubt. Ihr habt mir nicht geglaubt, weil ihr es nicht gesehen habt. Hört unseren Text noch mal an.

“Rufe mich an, so will ich dir antworten und will dir anzeigen große und gewaltige Dinge, die du nicht weißt” (Jeremia 33,3).

“'[Ich] will dir anzeigen große und gewaltige Dinge, die du nicht weißt.' (Jeremia 33,3)..” Könnt ihr das glauben? Könnt ihr so demütig sein, daß ihr glaubt, daß Gott in Antwort auf Gebet Dinge machen kann, die ihr nie zuvor gesehen habt? Könnt ihr glauben, daß Gott Dinge machen kann, die “ihr nicht wisst”? Steht auf und singt es!

    Hier unter der Sünde und Schmerzen und Sorge dieser Welt;
 Wir brauchen die Erweckung, verzweifelnde Seelen;
    O gib mir Kraft, Kraft im Gebet!

Wir arbeiten mit ganzem Herzen, die verlorenen Jugendlichen in die Kirche zu bringen. Sie können aber Gott nicht spüren, wenn sie herkommen. Warum nicht? Weil er in seiner Kraft nicht hier ist. Gott ist vollkommen heilig. Er weiß, zu viel von euch glaubt nicht, er kann “große und gewaltige Dinge, die nu nicht weißt” machen. Ihr glaubt das einfach nicht. Ihr meint, das sei alles ein Märchen. Ihr meint, ich sei ein alter Mann, der um ein Wunder quatscht, ein Wunder, das ihr nie gesehen habt, also glaubt ihr das nicht.

Wir haben so viele Wunder gesehen, doch ihr glaubt es immer noch nicht! Neununddreißig Leute haben zwei Millionen Dollar gezahlt, dieses Kirchengebäude zu erhalten. Kein einziger Prediger, mit dem ich sprach, dachte, es sei möglich. Es wurde aber getan! Das ist ein großer Wunder! Ihr seht es aber doch nicht! Ihr glaubt es doch nicht! 17 Leute wurden innerhalb einiger Wochen im vergangenen Jahr selig. Ihr seht es aber nicht! Ihr glaubt doch nicht, das ist ein Wunder! Wir haben John Cagan als unseren Prediger, unseren neuen Pastor, bekommen, auch wenn er sich die Zähne zusammengebissen hat, und gesagt, “Das tue ich nie!” Das ist ein Wunder! Aber ihr seht es nicht! Ihr glaubt es nicht! Wir haben einen weltweiten Auftrag, auf 35 Sprachen—diese Predigten zur ganzen Welt zu senden. Aber ihr seht es nicht! Ihr glaubt es nicht!

Ach, ich bete, ihr werdet aufwachen, und um das Wunder der Erweckung beten! Ach, daß ihr nich so seid wie die Pharisäer, von denen wird geschrieben, “Und ob er wohl solche Zeichen vor ihnen getan hatte, glaubten sie doch nicht an ihn” (Joh. 12,37).

Und ich weiß, euere Religion hat jetzt keine Freude, und manchmal weint mein Herz über euch. Ihr habt keine Freude. Ihr habt keine Hoffnung. Ihr schafft halt weiter, wie ein Sklave im Zuchthaus, wie der arme Samson. Ja! Für manche von euch ist diese Kirche ein Zuchthaus, ein Zuchthaus, wo ihr durch die Gottesdienste arbeitet, wo ihr die schwere Sklavenarbeit des Evangelismus schafft. Ihr haßt es so sehr! Ihr wisst aber nicht, wie zu entkommen! Ihr werdet mit geistlichen Ketten gefesselt, schaffen, schaffen, schaffen, ohne alle Hoffnung. Manchmal denkt ihr daran, hinzugehen. Ihr könnt aber kaum gehen. Euere einzigen Freunde sind hier. Euere einzigen Verwandten sind hier! Wie kommt man je aus der andauernden Arbeit, aus dem gehaßten Schaffen einer Kirche, die euch wie ein Zuchthaus aussieht? Ich will euch helfen! Gott weiß, daß will ich! Es gibt aber nur einen Weg zu entkommen. Wie wissen Sie das, Herr Prediger? Weil ich genau dort gewesen bin, wo ihr jetzt seid! Ich war in einer Kirche gefesselt, schaffend, schaffend, die ganze Sache hassend—ohne aber einen Ausweg zu finden! Der einzige Weg hinaus ist Jesus! Bekennt euere Sünden! Warum nicht? Es sind euere Sünden, die die Ketten, die euch binden, sind! Werdet sie los! Bereut euch und werdet vom Blut rein, denn nur Jesus kann euere Ketten auflösen und euch befreien.

“Bekenne einer dem andern seine Sünden und betet füreinander, daß ihr gesund werdet. ...” (Jak. 5:16).

Bekennt euere Ängste, eueren Zorn, euere Verbitterung, euere Eifersucht. “Bekenne einer dem andern seine Sünden und betet füreinander, daß ihr gesund werdet.” (Jak. 5,16). Eine Frau hat das getan! Und Jesus hat sie gesund gemacht. Ein Mann hat das getan, und Jesus hat ihn gesund gemacht. Gerade jetzt gibt es einen Strahl der Hoffnung. Man denkt, “Kann das wahr sein?” Ja! Das ist wahr! Betet, daß jemand seine Fehler bekenne und von Jesu gesund gemacht werde.

“Christus hat gesagt, 'Selig sind, die da Leid tragen; denn sie sollen getröstet werden.' (Matth. 5,4), welches um jene geht, die ihre Sünde spüren und darüber weinen. Die Sünde ist immer ein Problem für den Christen, der nach der Erweckung sehnt, und die Erweckung handelt immer unbequem mit den Dingen, die die Welt nicht sieht. Die Erweckung wirft Licht in die finsteren Stellen...vor der Erweckung vorzubereiten. Evan Roberts mahnt sie, daß der [Heilige Geist] nicht kommt, bis die Menschen bereit sind: 'Wir müssen die [Kirche] von allen bösen Gedanken befreien—von aller Bosheit, Neid, Vorurteilen und Mißverständnis. [Betet nicht], bis alle Mißfallen vergeben worden sind; aber wenn du dich fühlst, daß du nicht vergeben kannst, beuge dich in den Staub nieder, und bitte um einen vergebenden Geist. Dann bekommst du das.'” … nur der reine Christ kann zu Gott nahe leben ((Brian H. Edwards, Revival, Evangelical Press, 2004, S. 113)... “Jeder Mann hat jeden anderen vergessen. Jeder stand vor dem Angesicht Gottes [als sie ihre Sünden bekannten]... [Das ist] typisch bei jeder bekannten Erweckung. Es gibt keine Erweckung ohne eine tiefe, unbequeme und demütigende Überzeugung der Sünde (item, S. 116) … “Wir haben eine unheilige Kirche heute, weil die Christen die Sünde weder spüren noch fürchten … Jene, die am meisten nach der Erweckung sehnen, sollen damit anfangen, daß sie ihre Herzen und Leben vor einem heiligen Gott prüfen. Wenn wir unsere Sünden verdecken und sie nicht bekennen [dann haben wir keine Erweckung] … Ein heiliger Gott mache den Christen aufmerksam auf auch die kleinste Sünde... Jene, die wissen, sie stehen vor einem heiligen Gott sind der persönlichen Sünde immer bewußt....Dieses tiefe Werk der Überzeugung führt immer in die Freiheit und Freude im neu-entdeckten Erlebnis der Vergebung. Auf die 'Schläge ans Herz' kommen die Ausbrüche der Freude der Seligkeit” (item, S. 120).

“Willst du uns denn nicht wieder erquicken, daß sich dein Volk über dich freuen möge?” (Psalm 85:6).

Wir können uns in unseren Herzen nicht freuen, bis wir unsere Sünden in Tränen bekennen! Das geschieht in China. Warum nicht auch in unserer Kirche? Wir fürchten uns, einander unsere Sünden zu bekennen, und für einander zu beten, daß wir selig werden. Furcht davor, was andere denken werden hält uns vom Bekenntnis zurück. Jesaja schrieb, “Wer bist du denn, daß du dich vor Menschen fürchtest, die doch sterben,... und vergissest des HERRN, der dich gemacht hat...” (Jes. 51,12.13)

“Erforsche mich, Gott, und erfahre mein Herz; prüfe mich und erfahre, wie ich's meine.
 Und siehe, ob ich auf bösem Wege bin, und leite mich auf ewigem Wege.” (Psalm 139,23. 24).

Du hast nicht zuvor bekannt. Du hast gewußt, du sollst das, aber du hattest Angst davor. Eine Frau sagte mir am Telefon, sie sei furchtbar abtrünnig. Dann habe ich sie am Sonntag Morgen angeschaut, und sie sah mich an. Ich konnte sehen, sie wollte vorankommen. Ich habe ihre Hand genommen und gesagt, “Komme.” Sie kam. Sie hatte Angst gehabt, voranzukommen. Sie war doch die Frau eines Diakons! Was würden die Leute denken, wenn sie ihre Sünden bekennte? Vergiß, was die anderen denken! Während wir stehen und singen, komme und knie dich nieder und bekenne deine Schuld. Gott überzeugt dich deiner Sünde, und dann macht dich das Blut Christi, am Kreuz gegossen, neu rein.

« ...et nous avons comme caché nos visages devant lui; il était méprisé, et nous ne l’avons pas estimé » (Ésaïe 53:3).
Et c'est ce que vous faites si vous n'êtes pas converti. Vous ne voulez pas regarder à Christ, vous « cachez » votre visage. Vous dédaignez Christ. Vous n'avez aucune estime pour Christ. Mais oui, parfaitement, c’est de cette manière que vous pensez à Christ. Vous me direz que ce n'est pas vous. Vous pouvez me dire que vous ne pensez pas à Jésus de cette façon-là. Vous pensez avoir de l'amour pour Jésus, mais vous vous trompez. Voilà ce que dit le prophète Jérémie: « Le cœur est trompeur par-dessus toutes choses » (Jérémie 17:9). Vous supposez que votre coeur est vrai quand il vous dit que vous aimez Jésus. Vous supposez vraiment que votre coeur l’est, mais vous avez tort. Il est trompeur « par-dessus toutes choses. » Rien n'est plus trompeur que votre coeur. Il est plein de duplicité, d'illusion et de malhonnêteté.

Vous vous réconfortez en pensant que votre cœur n'est pas plus malhonnête que celui des autres. Et vous avez raison. D'une certaine manière, c'est la vérité. Mais vous n'avez pas considéré le fait que c'est vrai parce que chaque coeur est corrompu par le péché originel. J'ai cherché une autre raison depuis trois quarts de siècle. Mais je suis obligé de revenir au péché originel, parce qu’aucune autre raison, pour moi, ne peut explique pourquoi tous ceux que j'ai connu « a caché son visage devant lui » comme Adam a caché son visage du Christ pré-incarné dans le jardin d'Éden.

« ...et nous avons comme caché nos visages devant lui ; il était méprisé, et nous ne l’avons pas estimé » (Ésaïe 53:3).

Vous n'estimez pas Jésus. Vous ne pensez pas que Jésus est important.

Vous vivez sous l'illusion que ce verset est faux - que vous aimez vraiment Jésus, que vous Le tenez vraiment en haute estime. Mais plutôt vous acceptez ce que votre cœur, empoisonné et tordu par le péché originel et les péchés personnels, vous dit – mais vous devriez douter de ce que vous dit votre cœur.

Avez-vous seulement quelques pensées personnelles sur l'amabilité de Christ ? Pourriez vous Le décrire ? Écoutez-vous et demandez-vous si vous pourriez en parler en toute honnêteté - pourriez-vous dire, « l'Évangile, qui avant était si morne et sans vie pour moi, me fait frémir quand j'entends parler de Jésus ? » Pourriez vous honnêtement dire cela ? Si ce n'est pas le cas, cela montre que vous n'estimez pas Jésus comme le faisait Emi Zabalaga !

Ou pourriez vous dire ceci : « Jésus s'est fait crucifier pour moi alors que j'étais Son pire ennemi et que je ne voulais pas Lui céder. Cette pensée m'a brisé. Christ a donné Sa vie pour moi et pour ceci, en retour, je Lui donne tout... Jésus est mon libérateur, mon repos, mon Sauveur. Je ne pourrai jamais trop faire pour Christ. Servir Jésus est ma joie ? » Pourriez-vous dire ces paroles avec honnêteté - comme John Cagan les a dites lui-même ? Si vous hésitez, n'est-ce pas parce que vous savez que vous vous cachez de Jésus, que vous ne pensez pas hautement de Lui ?

Une autre manière d'examiner votre amour pour Jésus est d'être convaincu de péché. Jusqu'à ce que vous vous sentiez coupable de Le rejeter, vous n'estimerez jamais Jésus Christ. Jésus Lui même l'a dit :

« Et quand il sera venu, il convaincra le monde… de péché, parce qu'ils n'ont pas cru en moi » (Jean 16:8, 9).

Si vous ne ressentez aucune culpabilité du péché de rejeter de Jésus, c'est un signe sûr que vous « n'avez aucune estime pour Lui » Le Dr. W. G. T. Shedd nous a dit que, « L'Esprit Saint, habituellement, ne régénère pas un homme jusqu'à ce qu'il soit sous la conviction. » Un sens de culpabilité prépare l'homme à être délivré par le Seigneur.

Vous ne verrez pas à quel point Christ a de valeur jusqu'à ce que vous ayez fini

- De prendre les choses sérieuses avec légèreté, comme une jeu ;
   - D’avoir peur de la mort.
      - D’arrêtez de compter sur vous-même.
         - D’être convaincu de péché.

Quelqu’un peut dire, « Ce sont des préparations très dures. » Mais c'est la seule préparation dont vous avez besoin.

Jésus est le thème central de toute la Bible. Lorsque Jésus a rencontré deux disciples, Il leur en a parlé abondamment. Veuillez ouvrir votre Bible à Luc 24:25-27. C'est à la page 1112 de la Bible d'étude de Scofield. Veuillez vous lever pendant la lecture.

« Alors il leur dit : Ô insensés et d’un cœur lent à croire tout ce que les prophètes ont dit. « Ne fallait-il pas que Christ souffre ces choses, et qu’il entre dans sa gloire ? Et commençant par Moïse et par tous les prophètes, il leur exposa (expliqua), dans toutes les Écritures, les choses le concernant » (Luc 24:25-27).

Jésus passa plusieurs heures pour leur enseigner toutes ces choses à son sujet. L'Ancien Testament est long, 984 pages dans ma copie de la traduction du Roi Jacques. Quand Jésus est arrivé au 6ème, 7ème et 8ème chapitre de la Genèse, Il leur aurait expliqué comment le récit de l'arche de Noé parlait déjà de Lui. Quand Il en est venu au récit de Noé, du Déluge, et de l'arche, Il a dû leur montrer « Les choses le concernant » (Luc 24:27). Ces chapitres de la Genèse sont si importants qu'Il n'aurait pu les éviter sans les commenter.

En effet, le sixième, le septième, et le huitième chapitre de la Genèse contiennent tous des types, illustrations et images de Christ. Et comme Il a commencé avec les écrits de Moïse, l'auteur humain de la Genèse, Il leur expliqua, « dans toutes les écritures, les choses le concernant » (Luc 24:27). Il leur a certainement dit comment l'arche de Noé parlait de Lui.

Oui, Jésus est le grand thème de la Bible entière, et nous pouvons apprendre beaucoup sur Lui en étudiant l'arche. Et Jésus a certainement parlé de plusieurs points des évangiles qui le concernaient lorsqu'Il « ...leur exposa, dans toutes les écritures, les choses le concernant.. » (Luc 24:27).

I. Premièrement, l'arche décrit Christ comme n'ayant aucun attrait.

Car j'ai dit, l'arche de Noé n'était pas le beau bateau, lumineux et coloré que certains enseignants stupides montrent souvent aux enfants de l'École du dimanche. Non ! Non ! L'arche était une gigantesque boîte noire, en bois. Elle était recouverte de poix (goudron naturel) noir, dedans et dehors. Dieu a dit :

« Fais-toi une arche de bois de gopher ; tu feras des pièces dans l’arche ; et tu l’enduiras de poix (goudron) à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur » (Genèse 6:14).

L'arche était une gigantesque boîte entièrement noire, à fond plat. Elle était d'environ 500 pieds (165m) de long, environ 90 pieds (env. 30m) de large et 60 pieds (env. 20m) de haut. Il avait été construite simplement pour flotter, et non pour naviguer. C'était un « bateau » laid, noir-goudron, dedans et dehors. Il n'y avait rien de beau à son sujet. C'est une image de Jésus Christ. La Bible nous raconte ceci au sujet de Christ :

« Il n’a ni forme ni apparence [majesté], et quand nous le regardons, il n’y a ni beauté qui fasse que nous le désirions. Il est méprisé et rejeté des hommes... et nous avons comme caché nos visages devant lui ; il était méprisé, et nous ne l’avons pas estimé » (Ésaïe 53:2-3).

N'est-ce pas exactement la manière dont la plupart des gens ont vu l'arche, qui se tenait là, devant eux, avant que le Déluge ne vienne ? Elle n'avait aucune beauté ou majesté. Ils ne la désiraient pas. Et elle a été dédaignée et rejetée des hommes, juste comme Jésus l'a était. Ils ont caché leurs visages de l'arche, juste comme ils ont caché leurs visages de Jésus. L'arche a été méprisée, et ils ne l'ont pas estimée. C'est pourquoi ils ont refusé d'entrer dans l'arche, juste comme ils ont refusé ensuite « d'entrer » en Christ.

« Comment cet objet bizarre, laid et noir de surcroît pourrait-il nous sauver ? » Ont-ils dû se dire. Et aujourd'hui, pour la même raison, la plupart des gens refusent de venir à Christ et être sauvés. Ils pensent, « pourquoi devrions nous abandonner notre vie habituelle, et nos plaisirs, et entrer dans cela vieux navire noir et laid ? » Matthieu 24:37 (et la suite) nous dit :

« Ainsi qu'il en a été lors du temps de Noé, ainsi il en sera de la venue du Fils de l'homme également. Car comme dans les jours avant le déluge, on mangeait et buvait, on se mariait et on donnait en mariage, jusqu’au jour où Noé entra dans l’arche ; et ils ne réalisèrent rien jusqu’à ce que le déluge arrive et les emporte tous ; il en sera de même à la venue du Fils de l’homme » (Matthieu 24:37, 39)

Ceci nous prouve qu'ils n'ont pas voulu cesser de manger et boire, et de faire de grands festins. Ils n'ont pas voulu cesser de participer aux mariages somptueux et interminables auxquels les gens étaient devenus si friands à cette époque. Et bien, pourquoi auraient-ils dû abandonner leurs réjouissances, danser et boire - et s'amuser - juste pour entrer à l'intérieur d'un vieux bateau noir où sûrement aucun « amusement » n'était prévu, ont-ils pensé.

Mais ils se trompaient, bien sûr Le seul endroit dans le monde où quelque chose « de divertissant » et agréable pouvait continuer pendant le Déluge, était bien dans l'arche. Noé et sa famille passaient de bons moments ensemble, tout en travaillant pour s'occuper des animaux alors que les eaux couvraient la terre.

L'arche était le seul endroit, la seule église, dans le monde pendant cette période terrible qu'a été le Déluge. Noé et les sept membres de sa famille étaient la seule église sur la terre à ce moment-là, et ils ont passé des moments merveilleux ensemble, des cultes en famille, et des plaisirs divins dans l'arche.

Mais n'est-ce pas de cette manière que les personnes non converties voient notre église locale aujourd'hui ? Beaucoup de parents perdus disent, « Pourquoi ces jeunes veulent-ils tellement être dans cette église ? Qu'est-ce qui les attire ? Il n'y a ni boissons, ni drogues, ou « rave parties » là-bas. Et on ne permet pas non plus de sexe illicite dans cette église. Mais pourtant, on dirait qu'ils semblent vouloir y être à toute heure. Qui a-t-il dans ce vieux bâtiment, cette église du centre de la vieille ville, qui incite mon fils/fille à vouloir être là bas tout le temps ? »

Bien, vous pouvez répondre à votre famille et amis incroyants de cette façon : « L'église est notre arche. Elle nous sauve d'un monde à bout de souffle, de l'isolement dans lequel nous avions l'habitude de vivre. Maintenant nous vivons dans cette église baptiste locale. Nous nous amusons d'une manière bien plus propre et meilleure ici, dans cette église, que nous ne l'avons jamais rêvé ! Pourquoi rester seul ? Venez à la maison - à l'église ! Dans ce vieux bâtiment, laid et quelque peu inconfortable, nous avons trouvé un refuge loin d'un monde froid et rempli de solitude. Ne viendrez-vous pas trouver la joie et l'amitié, et la sécurité que nous avons trouvées dans l'église locale, la maison du Dieu vivant ? Venez régulièrement dans notre arche, cette église, où vous découvrirez les mêmes paix et plaisir que nous avons trouvé. »

Oui, l'arche était une chose laide et vieille, quelque chose de noir, mais c'était un lieu de joie, d'amitié et d'amour. Venez à la maison ! Entrez avec nous dans cette vieille arche dédaignée qu'est l'église locale. Vous serez sauvé et vous partagerez une vie heureuse et paisible avec nous !

II. Deuxièmement, l'Arche est un rappel du Sang de Christ.

Maintenant je vous invite à ouvrir votre Bible à Genèse chapitre 6, verset 14. Dieu dit à Noé :

« Fais-toi une arche de bois de gopher ; tu feras des pièces dans l’arche ; et tu l’enduiras de poix (goudron) à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur » (Genèse 6:14).

Le commentateur conservateur H. C. Leupold le traduit ainsi, « et l'enduisit de goudron dedans et dehors » (Exposition of Genesis, Exposition de la Genèse, Baker, 1976, volume 1, p. 269).

Le Dr. Leupold continue pour nous décrire les différentes pièces de l'arche et le goudron dont elles étaient enduites.

Le mot pour « cellules » (qinnim) est employé également pour le mot « nids. » En conséquence, de telles salles sont selon les besoins des divers animaux… Ce n'était pas un navire mais une boîte flottante énorme avec des dimensions presque proportionnées comme celles d'un bateau. Ce navire n'a pas été prévu pour la navigation. Il a été conçu uniquement pour flotter. Il est rendu imperméable à l'eau par un enduit généreux à l'intérieur et au dehors de « goudron » (kopher) (ibid., P. 270).

Le Dr. Leupold continue pour expliquer que le mot « kaphar » est dérivé de « kopher » (ibid.).

Ici, « Kaphar » est traduit d'un mot hébreu qui signifie « expiation » dans la Bible C'est le même mot (le verbe « kaphar ») qui est traduit par « expiation » dans environ 70 autres endroits dans l'Ancien Testament.

Lévitique 17:11 nous donne la signification de ce mot.

« Car la vie de la chair est dans le sang ; et je vous l’ai donné sur l’autel, pour faire propitiation pour vos âmes ; car c’est le sang qui fait propitiation pour l’âme » (Lévitique 17:11).

Par deux fois le mot « expiation » ou (propitiation) est une traduction de « kaphar, » qui signifie « couvrir. » Le Sang de Jésus Christ « couvre » nos péchés. C'est ce qui nous est clairement révélé dans le Nouveau Testament.

« Bénis sont ceux dont les iniquités sont pardonnées, et dont les péchés sont couverts » (Romains 4:7).

L'arche était couverte de goudron ou poix, pour empêcher les eaux du jugement du Déluge de pénétrer. Quand vous venez à Christ, vous êtes couvert par Son Sang, et le jugement de Dieu ne vous touche pas. Dieu a dit à Noé, « Toi, viens... dans l'arche » (Genèse 7:1). Quand Noé est entré, il a été entouré par les murs qui étaient couverts de goudron. La poix noire symbolise le Sang de Christ ! Quand vous venez à Christ, vous êtes littéralement couvert par le Sang de Christ et vos « péchés sont couverts » (Romains 4:7) et le jugement de Dieu ne peut vous toucher !

« Le Sang de Jésus-Christ Son Fils, nous purifie de tout péché » (I Jean 1:7).

C'est pour cette raison que Jésus est mort sur la Croix - ainsi Son Sang peut laver vos iniquités et couvrir vos péchés.

« Bénis sont ceux dont les iniquités sont pardonnées, et dont les péchés sont couverts » (Romains 4:7).

III. Troisièmement, l'arche est une image de la résurrection.

L'arche est un type de la résurrection. L'arche s'est posée sur le Mont Ararat, comme le jour où Christ se relèverait d'entre les morts.

Maintenant, je voudrais vous faire remarquer une chose de plus. Veuillez écouter Genèse, chapitre 8, verset 18 :

« Et Noé s'en alla, et ses fils, et son épouse, et les fils épouses de ses fils » (Genèse 8:18).

C’est une illustration de la mort et de la résurrection de Christ.

« A la fin du sabbat, à l’aube du premier jour de la semaine, Marie de Magdala et l’autre Marie vinrent pour voir le tombeau. Et, voici, il y a eut un grand tremblement de terre, car l’ange du Seigneur, descendit du ciel, vint et roula la pierre de devant l’entrée, et s’assit dessus. Sa mine était comme la foudre, et le blanc de son vêtement comme neige : Et ayant peur de lui les gardes tremblèrent et devinrent comme morts. Et l’ange répondit et dit aux femmes : Vous, n’ayez pas peur, car je sais que vous cherchez Jésus qui a été crucifié. Il n'est pas ici : car il est ressuscité, comme il l'a dit. Venez, voyez le lieu où le Seigneur était couché » (Matthieu 28:1 - 6).

Comme Noé est sorti de l'arche, ainsi le Christ est sorti du tombeau le matin de Pâques. Et il est dit, « Noé sortit, et ses fils, et son épouse, et les fils épouses de ses fils » (Genèse 8:18). Ceci décrit les chrétiens au moment de l'Enlèvement qui iront rencontrer Christ dans les airs (I Thessaloniciens 4:16 - 17). Noé sortant de l'arche est une illustration de Christ sortant du tombeau. Sa famille sortant de l'arche après lui est une image des chrétiens à l'Enlèvement.

Tout de ceci est symbolique et typographique. Le Dr. John Warwick Montgomery dit :

L’acte d'affranchissement de Noé - par la grâce seule de Dieu en passant par l'eau et [l'arche] - a mené l'Église primitive irrémédiablement à voir l'événement tout entier comme un précurseur typologique du salut, comme offert dans la Nouvelle Alliance. L'arche elle-même a été conçue comme symbole de l'Église (seulement ceux qui cherchent la grâce offerte à ce moment-là peuvent survivre le Déluge d'un monde pécheur) ; l'architecture de l'Église elle-même a été marquée d'une manière indélébile par ce langage figuré (par exemple, la « nef » come élément architectural du bâtiment vient de « navis » en latin, « bateau »). Dans les [peintures] chrétiennes primitives- dans les catacombes par exemple - l'arche a été utilisée pour symboliser l'endroit de l'enterrement ou du cercueil, d'où Dieu élèverait le croyant au dernier jour, comme quand Il livrait Noé aux eaux mortelles du Déluge (John Warwick Montgomery, Ph.D., The Quest for Noah’s Ark, La recherche pour l'arche de Noé, Bethany, 1972, p. 284).

Dans la première moitié du deuxième siècle, Justin Martyr a dit :

Noé le juste, avec les autres personnes du Déluge, à savoir son épouse, leurs trois fils et les épouses de leurs fils se montaient au nombre de huit personnes, et cela s'accorde avec le symbole de ce jour, le huitième en nombre mais le premier en puissance, où Christ s'est relevé d'entre les morts. Maintenant Christ, « le premier né (ou l'aîné) de chaque créature, » est devenu, selon un sens nouveau, le chef d'une autre race, de ceux qu'Il a amenés à la nouvelle naissance par l'eau, la foi et le bois qui contient les mystères de la Croix, juste comme Noé a été sauvé dans le bois de l'arche, flottant sur les eaux, avec sa famille (Justin Martyr, Dialogue with Trypho, Dialogue avec Trypho, cxxxvii, 1-2).

Comme les premiers chrétiens l'ont observé, l'Évangile entier est illustré dans l'arche de Noé. (1) c'était une arche assez laide, n'ayant rien de beau pour attirer le regard, ou frapper les esprits. Ainsi, le Christ n'attire par le regard de l'homme, pour qui l'Évangile semble un non-sens. 2) L'arche était couverte de poix noire, au dedans et au dehors. Ceci décrit le Sang du Christ couvrant le converti, de sorte que Dieu ne puisse pas voir ses péchés. (3) L'arche s'est posée sur le Mont Ararat, et Noé et sa famille sont sortis de l'arche en vie. C'est une illustration de Christ sortant du tombeau, ressuscité d'entre les morts, le matin de Pâques.

Et encore une chose. L'arche s'est posée sur le sommet d'une montagne. C'est une image de Christ montant sur le Mont Zion, la ville de Dieu, dans let troisième Ciel. Christ est maintenant élevé à la droite de Dieu - au plus haut des Cieux. Venez à Christ et Il vous sauvera de vos péchés. Venez à Christ, et vos péchés seront couverts par la « poix » de Son Sang. Venez à Christ et ainsi vous pourrez aller au Ciel. Comme Noé et sa famille ont échappé au Déluge, vous échapperez à l'enfer. Vous devez venir à Christ, comme Noé est venu dans l'arche !

من هو يسوع المسيح؟ بخلاف السؤال الدارج هل الله موجود؟ قليلون هم الأشخاص الذين تسألوا عن حقيقة حياة يسوع المسيح؟ وبصورة عامة فانه من المتفق عليه أن يسوع المسيح ولد في بيت لحم وعاش علي الأرض منذ الفين عاما مضوا. ولكن يبدأ الحوار عندما نتناول مسألة حقيقة شخص المسيح. جميع الأديان السماوية تعترف وتعلم بأن يسوع المسيح كان نبيا ومعلما صالحا بل أنه أيضا رجل الله. هذا كله صحيحا ولكن الخلاف يكمن في أن الكتاب المقدس يعلمنا أن يسوع المسيح كان أكثر كثيرا من مجرد نبي أو معلم.

يقول الكاتب المعروف سي اس لويس في كتابه الشهير "المسيحية المجردة" الآتي: "أني أحاول أن أجنب اي شخص تكرير السخافات التي يتداولها الناس عنه (أي عن يسوع المسيح)"بالقول: "أنا علي استعداد أن أقبل المسيح كمعلم أخلاقي صالح، ولكني لا أقبل ادعاءه بأنه الله". هذا هو الشيء بذاته الذي يجب علينا ألا نقوله. فان كان هناك رجل قد نادي بتعاليم مماثلة لتعاليم المسيح، فذلك لا يجعله معلم صالح، بل يجعله انسانا مختل عقليا أو ابليس بنفسه. يجب عليك أن تتخذ قرارا بأن اما هذا الرجل كان ومازال ابن الله، أو أنه مختل عقليا، أو أسواء. بامكانك أن تدعوه مجنونا، تسأله أن يصمت، تبصق علي وجهه، تقتله لأنه أبليس ، أو أن تركع أمام قدميه وتعلن أنه سيدك والهك. وفي كل من الأحوال فأنه ليس من اللائق أن ندعوه مجرد معلم صالح، لأنه في الحقيقة لم يترك لنا هذا الاختيار".

فماذا قال يسوع المسيح عن نفسه؟ وماذا يقول الكتاب المقدس عنه؟

 دعونا نلقي نظرة عامة علي كلمات يسوع الموجودة في يوحنا 30:10 "أنا والآب واحد". فان دققنا النظر، فأننا سنجد ان المسيح يدعي بانه الله، ولكن من المهم أيضا أن نلقي نظرة علي رد فعل اليهود لهذه العبارة: "لسنا نرجمك لأجل عمل حسن، بل لأجل تجديف، فأنك وانت انسان تجعل نفسك الها" يوحنا 33:10. فنري أن اليهود قد ترجموا عبارة يسوع بأنها ادعاء بأنه الله وأيضا نري أنه في الآيات التالية أن يسوع المسيح لا يقوم بتصحيح معلوماتهم بالقول أنه لم يدعي أنه الله. مما يوضح لنا أن يسوع المسيح كان يعني أن يعلن بأنه الله بقوله "أنا والآب واحد" يوحنا 30:10. مثال آخر يوجد في يوحنا 58:8 وفي هذه الآية يعلن يسوع: "الحق الحق أقول لكم: قبل أن يكون ابراهيم، أنا كائن". وللمرة الثانية يرفع اليهود الحجارة ليرجموا يسوع (يوحنا 59:8). لقد أعلن يسوع المسيح حقا شخصه بقوله "أنا هو" وهو استخدام واضح لأسم الله المذكور في العهد القديم في سفر الخروج (14:3). لماذا حاول اليهود رجم يسوع بالحجارة ان لم يؤمنوا بأن ادعاء المسيح هو تجديف واضح علي الله؟

 يوحنا 1:1 يقول "كان الكلمة الله". ويوحنا 14:1 يقول "الكلمة صار جسدا". وتبين لنا الآيات أن الله تجسد. عندما قال التلميذ توماس للمسيح "ربي والهي" في (يوحنا 28:20)، لم يقم يسوع بانتهاره أو تصحيح ما قاله. ونجد أيضا أن الرسول بولس يصفه في (تيطس 13:2) "الله العظيم ومخلصنا يسوع المسيح". ويكرر الرسول بطرس الشيء ذاته بقوله ".... الله ومخلصنا يسوع المسيح" (بطرس الثانية 1:1). الله الآب شاهد علي شخص المسيح الكامل "عرشك يا الله الي دهر الدهور، وصولجان ملكك عادل ومستقيم". ويعلن العهد القديم نبوات عن آلوهية المسيح "لأنه يولد لنا ولد ويعطي لنا ابن يحمل الرسالة علي كتفه، ويدعي اسمه عجيبا، مشيرا، الها قديرا، أبا أبديا، رئيس السلام "(اشعياء 6:9).

فكما كتب الكاتب سي أس لويس، أن الايمان بأن يسوع المسيح كمجرد معلم صالح هو ليس اختيار وارد. اذ أعلن يسوع المسيح بنفسه وبكل وضوح وجهارة بأنه الله. ان لم يكن هو الله، اذن فهو كاذب وان كان كاذبا فهو لا يصلح أن يكون نبيا أو معلم أوحتي رجل صالح. يدعي بعض العلماء المعاصرين أن "يسوع –الحقيقة التاريخية" لم يقم بقول هذه الأشياء المدونة في الكتاب المقدس. وأنا أتسأل: من نحن لنجادل الله وكلمته؟ كلمة الله هي التي تعلن لنا ماقام وما لم يقم المسيح بقوله. وكيف يتسني لعالم ما أن يعرف عن يسوع وكلماته التي دونت من خلال أتباعه والذين عاشروه وتعلموا منه منذ أكثر من الفين عاما (يوحنا 26:14)؟

 لماذا يشكل السؤال عن شخص المسيح أهمية عظمي؟ ولماذا يهمنا أن نعرف ان كان يسوع المسيح هو الله؟ السبب الرئيسي لأهمية معرفة شخص المسيح هو: ان لم يكن المسيح هو الله المتجسد فاذا موته ليس كافيا لرفع خطيئة العالم وتحمل العقاب الواجب علينا (يوحنا الأولي 2:2). الله وحده هو القادر أن يدفع عنا هذا الدين العظيم (رومية 8:5 و كورنثوس الثانية 21:5). كان لابد أن يكون يسوع هو الله ليتحمل عننا ديوننا و كان أيضا لابد ليسوع أن يصبح انسان ليموت من اجلنا ويتحمل عنا العقاب. الفداء متاح لنا فقط من خلال الايمان بيسوع المسيح وتجسده والوهيته والايمان بأنه الطريق الوحيد للخلاص. الوهية المسيح هي سبب اعلانه "أنا هو الطريق والحق والحياة. لا يقدر أن يأتي أحد الي الآب الا بي" (يوحنا 6:14).

I am so tired of hearing Christians telling me: “Brother Paul, I am just so weak.” Brother Paul you started your sermon saying you are weak. So why can’t we say it?

Well I want you to understand the phrase, and the context of it. First of all your not weak and I can prove it to you. In the last weak, w e a k. How much time did you spend grasping striving to know God and His word and in prayer that apart from God and His work on your behalf, uh, you were not going to be able to make it. Oh see its really easy to say: “You are so weak.” Your problem is not that you are weak. Your problem is that you think you are strong and I can prove it by just looking at your devotional life.

You see, our problem is not that we are too weak, our problem is that we do not recognize our weakness. You see that? That’s why the greatest, the men and women who have been most used of God in Christian history seem to have only one thing in common. A recognition of their weakness.

Now, here is what I want to show you and it is so, so important. Weakness is not a hinderance to power, weakness is the catalyst to spiritual power. The problem is wrong response. So first of all you need to recognize something, everybody is weak. Everything demanded to you in the New Testament is absolutely impossible for the natural man. There you go, so everyone is on the same level me, you, Spurgeon, John Piper, all, everyone is weak that is it.

You can’t use weakness as an excuse anymore. Everybody is just as weak. No-one can do this stuff, no-one. So there you go, we are weak. The question is what do we do? Now. Many people just mouth weakness, because it is the Christian thing to do, I am weak. Other people find it very convenient to use that phraseology because its an excuse for their sin, well I am weak, everybody is weak.

But the right mindset here is in recognizing your weakness. It drives you to God. Immediately to God. Believing in faith He is the fountain He claims to be. He is the source and the helper that He claims to be. He is One of unlimited resources. That He does not greedily hand out to children but He lavishes upon them.

So you see, your problem is that you are really not recognizing you are weak. Or you recognize you are weak but you just stay there in your weakness. The time is your weakness ought to drive you to God every time. Here is the problem, let’s enter in with your heart condemning you and satan helping your heart condemn you.

See I have found so many people. I saw someone last night, I dealt a longtime with them. Precious little girl. She recognized her weakness. She recognized her frailty, she recognized her sin. she recognized in her life some things she could not overcome right now. But here was her problem. She would see her sin and because of the work of the devil, and sometimes our heart condemning us, she would put herself in the penalty box every time she sinned. Well you can’t go to God right now, you can’t just keep running back to Him. You sinned yesterday and you repented and asked for forgiveness. Now you have done the same exact thing today. You run back to Him your just a hypocrite. You don’t appreciate God. You don’t have a high view of God. What do you think, God just hands out pardon to everyone?

Isn’t that what we do and isn’t that we think. Sin, A sin that we have already sinned, already of repented of, and because of it we think we need to put ourselves in a penalty box for awhile at least. A couple of days. And try and work our way back into favour before we come to God. Because we think actually. You mean if I go back every time I do this, just immediately, not only going back and asking for forgiveness but expecting forgiveness isn’t that hypocrisy? Isn’t that a low view of God? Isn’t that treating God as a forgiveness machine? No, it’s being Biblical! It’s what poverty of spirit is supposed to do to us.

Now, I am not preaching this hopefully to unconverted church people who are going to say: “Oh wow if God is that good I will sin all the time and just go back and ask for forgiveness.” Hopefully I am not talking to people like that. Hopefully I am talking to genuine Christians who really want to be something they are not yet. But when they find themselves frail, when they find themselves weak, and they find themselves sinning the same sin. They kinda huddle over here and wait. Maybe read their bibles a few times and pray some more and show God that they are sincere before they run over there and actually try and get some forgiveness. No!

One of the great joys of my life is when I discovered that the moment I sin the sin I always sin my first response ought to be to latch a hold of Christ. And not beggarly and not: “Oh here I am You ought to strike me down.” No! I latch a hold of Christ saying: “I believe Your promises!”

I am in a different realm. I am free. I am a saint. I have been moved out of Adam and condemnation and law. All of it was paid for on that tree. When He died He knew all of it! He forgave all of it! I’m free! It’s absolutely spectacular.

What is the love of God like? In this world, there are many kinds of love. There exists the love of people, of friends, of a lover, of one’s parents, and the love of God. Then, which kind of love is the most precious? Since never changing and unconditional love is the most precious, God’s love beats out all others without a second thought. We all desire to possess the love of God in our hearts. How are we able to possess the love of God in our hearts then? When we believe in Jesus Christ, who came by the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit, to be our Savior, we are able to possess the love of God.

Until the last generation, people used to think that they could gain worldly knowledge by going to church. However, nowadays, people don’t even think of such an advantage. These days, because there are so many places to learn in the world and because people have already learned so much, people are dissatisfied unless the gospel of the water and the Spirit is preached.

The gospel of the water and the Spirit is preached only in the church of God. People come to church these days not to learn worldly knowledge but to learn about God and to hear the voice of God through the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Yet, how can a minister, who is ignorant of the gospel of the water and the Spirit, lead the souls of others to the Word of God? Those who are still ignorant of the gospel of the water and the Spirit have neither received the remission of their sins nor met with God because they do not know this gospel Truth. How then could they possibly discuss the gospel of the water and the Spirit, which is the Gospel of God? Furthermore, how could they possibly talk about your spiritual condition? They are unable to discuss the remission of sin and the true salvation. They only confuse the hearts of spiritually blind Christians with their doctrines. Everyone must be washed completely from all their sins by their faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Otherwise, it is impossible to share this true gospel clearly manifested in the Bible.

Yet, we who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit were able to meet with Jesus through this gospel Truth. Since Jesus came to this world by water and blood (1 John 5: 6), we are made born again as well as God’s own people by our faith in that gospel.

In today’s Scripture passage of John 1, it is written that Jesus Christ is God: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (John 1:1-5).

In the beginning, there was the Word. This Word was in fact the Word of God. This world was made through the Word of God, and there was nothing in this world that was not made through the Word of God. In the Word of God, came life for all things. That life also gave life to men.

God the Creator of all the universe is the very Triune God― the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God made the universe into a reality by His Word, “Let there be something.” When God spoke, it became thus. What I am saying is this Omnipotent God has come to us as our Savior. With our Lord, who came to this world, came the authority to cleanse us from all our sins. Yet, so many people do not know the Lord and die as sinners. “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (John 1:5).

However, you and I who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit have received much love from God. God our Savior came to this world in the man’s flesh just like ours. By receiving the baptism from John the Baptist and dying on the Cross, He took all our sins onto Himself and expunged all of them. By resurrecting from the dead, He has given us, who believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, the grace to call God the Father as “Abba Father.” By knowing and believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, we have been delivered from all our sins and adopted as God’s own children. Thus, through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, we have met with our Savior, Jesus Christ. Since we have met God by this gospel Truth, what great love have we received from God?

We, who have been born again by believing in Jesus as our Savior through the gospel of the water and the Spirit, have received the great grace of salvation. Yet, many people remain sinners in the darkness, although the light of the gospel of the water and the Spirit has shone upon them. What great shame is it that so many people are still wondering in the darkness, when Jesus Christ has already delivered everyone from all their sins by coming through the gospel of the water and the Spirit? We have certainly received abundant grace, since we have met Jesus through our faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit.

If we take a moment to reflect on ourselves for a moment, we have not met our Lord because of our intelligence. If we were able to meet the Lord by our fleshly abilities, we would not have been able to meet our Lord. How could such insignificant people such as us meet with such awesome God?

If we look at each individual person in comparison to the universe, we are like dust. No, not even dust. If such beings tried to meet with the Lord, it is only reasonable to think that it won’t be possible. That’s why He came to us and met with us. We have not met with God through our excellence in the flesh, but we were able to meet with God because our Lord has delivered us by the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit. Those who have believed this and met with the Lord have received His true love. As I am wearing a formal suit right now, those who have believed in the gospel of the water and the Spirit are wearing the clothes of God’s righteousness. We who have put on the love of God are wearing His great love indeed. It is a great privilege to receive blessings, grace, salvation, and love from the Almighty God, who is the Creator and the Savior.

We have not loved God, but God loved us first and unconditionally by the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit, meeting with us and covering us with His love (1 John 4:19). Thus, we have become God’s own people, been adopted as His children, and gained the right to enter into the eternal world. There is nothing we have done on our part in completing this amazing Truth of God. God did it all from His side.

For us to go after that love of God is as hopeless as traveling all around the world looking for one’s unknown mother, as a fairy tale tells. We will not be able to find the Savior, even if we were to search in ever corner of this universe. We are able to meet God only because He Himself came to meet with us. We can meet with the Lord and are delivered from all our sins only by believing in the Lord-given gospel of the water and the Spirit. No one can receive the remission of sin by ones own deeds or abilities.

Thus, we have to abandon our human thoughts that stand against the will of God. All salvation comes out of our Lord. To think that we will do something with our own worldly knowledge is a delusion. It is forgetting one’s place, acting like a puppy that’s not afraid of a tiger. If we really want to meet the Lord of Truth, we must pay attention to the Word of God with our eyes and ears. The problem is that people are deceived by false teachings and, therefore, fail to realize the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit.

Those who are ignorant of the Truth of the water and the Spirit will not meet the Lord even when they are given a second chance. Those who have not been washed completely of all of their sins by their faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit cannot comprehend even a line of the Bible correctly. They can only say that the Word of God is composed of the white part which is the paper and the black letters. They may come to know the scholastic knowledge of this world, but the written Word of the Bible is indescribably complicated to them. If Jesus said the Word in the beginning to create the heavens and the earth, that Word is the Word of God. And this universe was solely created by His Word. But religionist Christians try to interpret His Word only through their own limited logical understanding. Therefore, it is impossible for those, who do not know the gospel of the water and the Spirit, to comprehend how God came to this world in the flesh of man.

I met the Lord through the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit 10 years after I started believing in Jesus as my Savior. While studying theology I have realized that even at the graduate level, it was utterly impossible to know the essence of Jesus Christ through such theology. “Ah! It’s utterly impossible to know Jesus. The more I learn about the Bible, it only gets harder to comprehend. I can understand every variation of Christian doctrines – I can memorize every detail of soteriology, systematic theology and pneumatology – but the Bible is different. One day I think I have a firm grasp on it, the very next day I am uncertain. The more I study the Bible, the more confused I get.” So I rather gave up. I eventually thought to myself, “I am quite ignorant of the Bible.”

When I first believed in Jesus, I thought that I knew the Bible fairly well. Although I claimed to have believed in Jesus as my Savior, everything I thought I knew came into doubt after 10 years. Fortunately, I realized the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit while reading the Scripture. Through it, the sins of my heart were completely blotted out. I received God’s blessing of being born again by knowing and then believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit through the written Word of God. That gospel of the water and the Spirit states, “Jesus terminated all the sins of the world by receiving the baptism from John the Baptist and by dying on the Cross.” Only after I had known the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit, I was able to truly meet with Jesus my Savior. In short, when I knew the gospel of the water and the Spirit, I was truly able to meet Jesus.

Since then, I have been able to preach the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit. When I shared the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit, those who heard the message were able to meet the Lord properly just as I have met the Lord my God.

In retrospect, I had an incomplete belief in God before I knew the gospel of the water and the Spirit. However, my faith is quite different now. I am quite busy with work, but when I take some time off to pray and read the Bible, a thought occurs to me; “How did I meet with God?” This was a question that I couldn’t answer precisely before.

“Lord Jesus, You have come to me with the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit. You have visited me by coming into this world in the flesh of man. You took all my sins onto Your body by receiving the baptism, and died on the Cross in my stead. On the third day, You rose from the dead, and ascended into the Heavens. The Word You had spoken was recorded so that I may know myself and God through it. When I know in my heart and believe that God has delivered me from all my sins, I receive my salvation. This was utterly due to Your grace and love. How could I meet with God any way otherwise?” I cannot help but confess like this. What I am saying is that it was not through the efforts on my side by which I met with the Lord. The Lord has delivered me from all my sins by His grace, He has loved me by His grace, and He met with me and you by His grace. I give thanks to God, as I reflect on these.

I am a mere creature, weak and deficient, having nothing to boast about. Not only before God but even before people I have nothing to boast about, but He met with me out of His love. “He became a human being for my sake and brought salvation to humanity by coming down to us by the water and the Spirit. That’s why the Lord desires to meet not only with me but also with the rest of the humanity. The Lord always is near to the people. Yet, most of them have not met with Him, although we have.” My heart is gladdened whenever these thoughts occur to me. As I see the congregants and servants of God’s Church, I am glad because I feel that “They are people who truly have met God.”

Dear fellow believers, how many people are there in this world who have believed in Jesus and met with the God of Truth? Are there many? Dear fellow believers, there are not that many Christians who have met God by the gospel of the water and the Spirit.

This is why we are serving the gospel Word of the water and the Spirit. The reason we hold revival meetings at God’s Church is so that those who have not met God yet may indeed meet with God. Although the Bible is a pretty thick book, it can be summarized into a few words: They are the gospel of the water and the Spirit. If after hearing the Word you understand it and check it and discover yourself through it, the Lord will come to you. If you know and believe that Jesus bore all your sins and expunged all your sins by the baptism and the Cross, then you can come to meet the Lord.

You may inquire, “How it is possible for mere creatures to meet with God?” If we meet the Lord through our faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, we comprehend the gospel of the water and the Spirit at that moment with an exclamation of “That’s it.” However, those who lack a humble heart are difficult to receive this special love of God. Numerous babies are being born every moment. Yet, is there any one who has met God, the Creator of the entire universe, through his own method? No, no one can meet Him for himself.

Then, how can I receive the love of God and the blessing from Him? The correct answer is that “The Lord has met with me.” In order to meet with me, the Lord came to this world in the flesh of man like mine: He took all of our sins onto Himself by receiving the baptism from John the Baptist. When He died on the Cross, He received the judgments for all our sins in our stead. And on the third day, He was resurrected from the dead. Through these righteous acts, the Lord has met you and me. Thus, we have received our salvation from all our sins.

I am standing before you as a pastor who believes in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. Though I am insufficient in many areas, it is my sincerest desire to lead all people who have not met the Lord to the Him and to introduce to them about the God and Jesus whom I have met. I am not a VIP. I am comparable to a tour guide. Like a guide at a tourist attraction, those who have met the Lord through their faith in the gospel of the water and the Spirit are gospel preachers, leading others to Jesus. If we are to be good spiritual guides, we need to believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit and receive proper spiritual training. Regardless of how articulate a person is, unless he knows about the tourist attraction and about the role of a guide, he cannot be a good guide. Therefore, we, first of all, have to know about the Gospel of the water and the Spirit.

I was able to approach God because I first met with the gospel of the water and the Spirit. And only because the Lord chose to meet with me by the gospel of the water and the Spirit, I was able to meet with the Lord. I have worn the love of the Lord because the Lord has truly loved me first. Because I have worn the love of God, I am trying to spread that love all over the world. Also, because I have met Him, I am trying to introduce Him to you and lead you to Him. Because I am thankful of the fact that the Lord has met with me, I am so happy that the Lord has also met with you. Through these sermons, I hope you all experience how honored and grateful we should be that the Lord has met with us. Still, I am confident that we are of one heart, since we have all been born again of the gospel of the water and the Spirit.

The gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit is the cornerstone of salvation for all sinners. If we lack the faith in this Truth, we are unable to meet the Lord. If any of you does not believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, you will be deceived by the false ministers and deprived of your souls as well as your money.

Is there still any one among you who has sin in your heart? How can you say that you have accepted Jesus as your Savior in your heart, when the sins in your heart are still intact because you do not know the gospel of the water and the Spirit? What other Truth is there besides the gospel of the water and the Spirit by which you can encounter Jesus and receive salvation? Your foolish claim that you have been born again without believing correctly in the gospel of the water and the Spirit is leading you to hell. That’s why we must continuously blow the trumpet of salvation so that everyone of the world may hear the gospel Truth and be saved from sin. If people fail to meet the Lord and receive eternal salvation again because they choose not to hear to the gospel of the water and the Spirit when we are faithfully preaching it, the blame is on them.

We should love, thank, believe, and glorify God during the days of our lives. We should share what we have received. And as God met with us, we should also share the gospel of the water and the Spirit and introduce God to those who are ignorant of Him so that they also will meet with Him. That is what we the righteous should do.

The Lord has delivered us from all our sins. We should live our lives praising the Lord and giving thanks to Him.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.”

How Great Is Jesus Who Loves Us So Much That He Has Delivered Us from All Our Sins!

John chapter 1 describes Jesus as the Creator of the entire universe. If we were to compare ourselves to the boundless universe that God created, we would realize what small and dismal creatures we are. This is why we cannot thank God enough for being able to meet such great God. It was the greatest of all miracles. Even now, I think that it is the greatest of all miracles that I have met with God, who came by the gospel of the water and the Spirit.

Jesus was the Creator, who created this vast universe that spreads millions upon millions of light years wide. God has also prepared the eternal Truth and the true salvation, which are invisible to our eyes. God is truly an amazing God. God’s utmost work was creating humans, out of all other God’s creations, as His own children.

Yet, how could we not give thanks to God, when we were able to encounter such a great and marvelous God? God has accomplished such great works that are impossible for us to comprehend with our intelligence. The world that God has created is full of mysteries which are incomprehensible to the human mind. We cannot but help praise God, since we were able to meet with such a great God on our own discretion. We cannot help but praise God, when we look at the universe that is filled with many galaxies that are beyond our imaginations. The universe, which God has created, is magnificent. We are such small beings who are incomparable to God’s created world. Each person is no larger than a flake of dust in the eyes of God. Still, how could we not give thanks to God, when such small beings as we were able to meet with God, the Creator of this magnificent universe? With a heart full of gratefulness, I give my thanks to God once again.

However, it is a shame that there are so many people who are trying to meet with the great and holy God without having the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit. It is absolutely impossible for us to meet with Jesus without first having faith in this true gospel. Also, it is impossible for us to receive the remission of sin without the gospel of the water and the Spirit.

Then, how is Jesus Christ able to meet with us humans? There is no other way through which God is able to meet with us except through Jesus, who became a human just like you and me. Jesus received the baptism from John the Baptist to take all our sins onto Himself at once, and He wholly blotted out all our sins once and for all by being crucified on the Cross. Through His baptism and crucifixion, Jesus made it possible for God to adopt us as His own children. In other words, there is no other means of salvation except the coming of God as our Savior, who has delivered us from all our sins once and for all. However, if God were to meet with us in His fundamental character, no sinner would have been able to escape the judgments accorded to their sins, for He is the most holy and solemn Judge. Because we were fundamentally sinners, we would have died if we were to stand before God’s holy light. Thus, for God to meet with us, He had to come to us in the flesh of man, just like us.

Our Lord Himself has thus come in the flesh of man so that He could meet with us and deliver us, who are weak and insufficient, from all our sins. In order to take the flesh and blood of a man, just like the bodies we possess, Jesus was born into this world through the Virgin Mary. Just as it is written, “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14), God has come to us in flesh and blood like ours to be with us. This promise was prophesized by the Prophet Isaiah over 700 years prior to Jesus’ birth. If our Lord had not lowered Himself to our humble level and approached us, you and I would have never been able to meet with the Lord. Our Lord had come to this world in the flesh of man, just like ours, to meet with us.
